Well, then you obviously know what you are saying is nothing more than anecdotal evidence. Personal experience rarely translates into universal fact.

Political affiliation in most universities varied, but often follow regional patterns.

Southern universities are often filled to the brim with social and political conservatives departmentally and administratively. Texas A&M and University of Mississippi are good examples. Brigham Young, Taylor, Liberty, Union...George Fox...I could go on and on.

If you decide on a small liberal arts college or somewhere in the NE then, of course. But even the hallowed Ivy League and the schools like Stanford have tons of conservatives. Condi Rice ran Stanford FFS.

I'm going to address a couple points & then mute this comment thread.

If you don't think that @HillaryClinton or the people around her, many of whom were brilliant & socially conscious POC, didn't know of or understand the data you're referencing then you know nothing of HRC.

You certainly don't seem to recall the finer details of 2016 and, despite your claims to understand the particular pressures she was under, refuse to give those pressures their proper due.

In an election filled with fake news & populist hyperbole from the far right & left..

I totally disagree.

I've listened to @HillaryClinton speak passionately about race for three decades.

Race and racism were a central focus of her 2016 campaign.

She didn't speak about it just every once in awhile @amikegreen, she spoke about it every single day of the campaign.

In fact, race and criminal justice was the topic of her first policy paper for the campaign, which she presented in April 2015.

Any object will do. You can surrender to a tree, you can surrender to a river, you can surrender to anything, your wife, your husband, your guru.
Even through stones, people have attained because it is not a question at all to what you #surrender.

You surrender, and that brings the whole thing, that opens the door. Surrendering, the effort to surrender brings an opening to you.
If you are open to stone, you become open to the whole existence, because it is only a question of opening. How can you be open to a stone, and not open to a tree?

I see folks discussing the lack of media coverage black politicians are getting and I want to explain *a* possibility why that *could* be the case. Yes, media do not cover black (female) candidate well enough. Here is another reason the coverage is poor: Their comms people suck.
From personal experience, in this midterm, I can tell you that I have reached out to many black candidates and a. the candidate's website has not easy way for media to contact the campaign b. there is no designated comms person and c. no one responds to calls or emails.
Campaigns also experience lots of turnover and comms teams don't always let reporters know who the new comms person is and interview requests get lost in the shuffle. This happens ALL the time. And the new comms person *may* not think you are important enough for their candidate

It will happen almost always to meditators that when the mind feels sad, it starts creating #boredom for you; that is a strategy of the mind. The mind is saying, "Come on! Let us go somewhere, let us do something. Why are you sitting? Just sitting doing nothing brings boredom!"

#Fact 1 - The Wage Gap is real. People who says it's not haven't read the data.

However, in places like the USA, the wage gap is *not* mostly due to sexism like many #femnist #WomenInScience are claiming it is today. Disparate outcomes doesn't imply disparate treatment.
Women typically choose fields that are lower paying; even in the #STEM fields. To attribute that to sexism only or even mostly is a very dishonest way of deriving an answer for this complex disparity.
