1) "We can't stop #Brexit, leave voters will feel betrayed"
This is the final desperate battle cry of some leavers & indeed some former Remainers, even raising threats of violence and the rise of the far right

Reality is #Brexit, any Brexit, will be seen as a far larger betrayal
2) to prove this, just look at the months of failure in trying to get together a Brexit deal. May is struggling to even put together the basics of a deal that's widely acceptable even to MPs who now support Brexit.

Picture what happens when Brexit actually kicks in
3) the DUP, the ERG, the Government themselves, the EU & the Labour party, all support or at least accept Brexit as a political reality if not openly support it.

But even this group cannot get to a sensible Brexit offering
4) so who'll be annoyed when Brexit is delivered?
Well certainly many Remainers, who regard the ref as corrupted & biased.
Probably the ERG, because it won't go far enough for them
5) if Brexit is relatively "soft", the hard brexiters will scream "betrayal" and turn against it
But if it's relatively hard, soft Brexiters will be angry & eventually so will many hard Brexiters, because they didn't understand the realities of hard Brexit and will blame others
6) there is no Brexit that will bring people together. Soft Brexit will lead to rows over "vassalage" in the media almost immediately
Hard will cause economic difficulties.

And every, single, emerging difficulty will be blamed on #Brexit
7) this isn't talked about or even widely appreciated.
Retail sales down?
Need to lay people off?
Hospital waiting list targets not being met?
Need to raise prices?

Blame #Brexit
It gives massive air cover for releasing bad news and so organisations will exploit it, naturally
8) meanwhile, Remainers will be furious as all their predictions largely become true. They will remain angry at leavers
Fundamentally, Brexit will be deeply unpopular across half the nation.

That's just reality. There is no unifying Brexit deal, just ones that will annoy
9) we need to stop worrying about what Leavers will think if we don't leave and instead worry about what *nearly everyone* will think after a bad Brexit

And the fact is, they're all bad
