Dear Lagosians,
As the Gubernatorial election in Lagos draws near, Light and darkness have been presented before us. The choice is ours to make but I beseech us to choose light.
In a sane society, APC wouldn’t stand a chance in the election judging by the fiasco of this regime but welcome to Nigeria where abnormality has become so normal that normalcy is now regarded as abnormal.
A party that openly admitted their candidate’s below par performance but instead of hiding their face in shame, another candidate is being imposed to continue the monopoly and imminent disaster in the state.
Posterity would judge us knowing that light was offered to us but we chose to walk in darkness.
Make no mistake, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu is a man I respect for his political doggedness and intelligence as shown by the number of proteges he has established and planted to spread his dynasty across the South West states and the country at large but like the popular saying
“nothing lasts forever” and it is about time we disrupt the norm in Lagos State.
There is no gain saying that the market benefits when there is competition as each competitor would strive to ensure it remains relevant.
Since 1999, at least 2 political parties have governed each of the South West states except Lagos state and in all of it, the citizenry have been the biggest beneficiary as the political parties have been kept on their toes, knowing that they would be voted out if they fail to
deliver on their campaign promises. Lagos shouldn’t be an exception.

From the inhumane increase in land use charge, to the failed Visionscape initiative, inefficient implementation of projects, the deplorable state of the road and the accompanying depressing traffic,
it is safe to say that APC have ran out of ideas on how to run a cosmopolitan state like Lagos and they should be shown the way out.
Even though it is difficult to convince a hungry man that the person offering him food is actually responsible for his hunger
- a ploy employed by most leaders in the country, we would be doing a disservice to humanity if we don’t make concerted efforts to correct the anomaly. We should not be satisfied with peanuts in the midst of abundance. It is time to give Agbaje a chance to better our lot in Lagos
Who says we can’t have good roads without paying toll? Who says we can’t have affordable health care insurance cover? Who says we can’t light up Lagos in a cheaper and efficient way? Who says we can’t afford free WiFi at public places and schools?
Who says double taxation can’t be a thing of the past?Who says we can’t enjoy the benefits of paying tax? Who says Lagos can’t be clean again?Who says we can’t have quality empowerment programs for our youths?Who says we can’t ve quality and affordable education for our students?
It’s not a privilege but your right as a citizen.
All these and more we stand to gain if Jimi Agbaje is given the chance.
Think good governance in Lagos, think JK 2019!!! @jimiagbaje @SegunShowunmi @segalink @OfficialPDPNig @duromadrid @enny_dyno @ArafatBabs @adeyanjudeji
