Trump was obsessed with the idea that he was being bugged by deep state. Even going so far as to attempt to set up a "private CIA" much like Cheney under Bush with Erik Prince in 2005. Turns out he was being "bugged" because those around him were criminals.cnn.com/2017/09/18/pol…
