Mayor @BilldeBlasio now calls the #JazmineHeadley incident “unacceptable,” and “deeply troubling.”

“I want to issue a formal apology to her. I want to apologize on behalf of all 8.5 million New Yorkers,” @NYCMayor
“The thing we believe in is de-escalation, and it has to happen anywhere that uniforned officers of any status deal with the public,” @NYCMayor says. He for now seems to lay blame on the HRA peace officers not the NYPD officers called and pointed a Taser gun.
“I believe by the time the NYPD arrived, the situation was already out of control,” @NYCMayor says. Again, blame is not on police here but on everything that took place before they showed up.
“We retrained the entire police force, I don’t think that’s been given the focus it deserves,” he says. “A lot of things we are doing are having an effect,”
The two HRA officers involved in the #JazmineHeadley incident have been placed on modified duty. Mayor says the incident is under full review which will “bring out all the facts,”
