1) "No Deal" is the "Access to the Single Market" of the #Brexit endgame

Can't believe this isn't being widely reported but "No Deal" is the greatest bait & switch since, well, the last 1

No Deal brexiters *do not believe* in no deal, at all, its an illusion, and not a good one

2) Davis talks on Question Time of the better deal we'll get from a no deal.

Dorres talks confidently of the transition period following "no deal"

Leadsom outlines managed no deal, which involves deals

Mogg talks of "side deals" with the EU

What's missing? An actual "no deal"

3) in every case brexiters pay lip service to "walking away" and then proceed to talk about actions which *all involve negotiating with the EU*

None of them believe in no deal, they just believe blackmail will work, when it has singly failed to so far, with disastrous results

4) this may be hard to believe but if you listen to a hard brexiter for a few minutes the words "managed", "guided", "transition", "side deals" will inevitably appear, with "walking away" said as a crowd pleaser, nothing more

They wouldnt dare truly "no deal", it would end them

5) the full on brexiters have one strategy, and its always been the same
"if we threaten to walk away, the EU27 will cave and give us what we want for a smooth exit"

That's it, that is the big (not so) secret behind the #Brexit negotiating via bullying plan

6) the first time they used this strategy they believed the EU would fold and give us the full SM without payments or FoM if we threatened to walk away

That didn't work

Now they think the EU will give us a smaller Free trade agreement & no backstop, if we threaten to walk

7) it's not going to work either, firstly because you cannot expect the people of 27 nations to give into blackmail, but mostly because when they tell us the plan they are telling the EU as well!

It's like bluffing in poker with your cards facing the wrong way

8) this seems ridiculous but then it has to be remembered Brexit leaders & voices have 2 key qualities:

a) they are heroically arrogant
b) they are bone shakingly dim, at a profound level

I appreciate that may seem harsh, but consider:

9) Digby Jones thinks FoM is a feature of the CU, not the SM
David Davies said we'd have most major trade deals signed by last September.

10) the way to deal with the "no dealers" is simple. Ask them, repeatedly, which of their plans require no cooperation from the EU or do not rely on the EU putting certain measures in place.

And when they bluster, keep asking

11) the sad thing is of course that brexiters are lying to people, their followers most of all. They are talking up a "walk out" they have no intention of actioning, because it stirs the blood & builds support

12) in the end however all they are really doing is setting us up for humiliation, as they've always done
