America is now working on, by my count, our eighth betrayal of the Kurds since World War I
This is from 2013. It wasn't very hard to predict that America would betray the Kurds again:
One totally forgotten US betrayal of the Kurds is when we helped the Baath Party stage a coup to take over Iraq in 1963 and then gave them napalm to use on the Kurds books.google.com/books?id=xJ1AP…

In March 1990, Saddam Hussein personally ordered the execution of Farzad Bazoft, a reporter for the UK Observer. A month later Sen. Alan Simpson had a chummy meeting with Saddam and commiserated with him about journalists, calling them "spoiled and conceited" and "bastards."
Even worse than Alan Simpson's actions: Before Bazoft was executed, conservative MP Terry Dicks said he "deserves to be hanged." Lord Wyatt said the UK should “start maximising trade and stop talking about Farzad Bazoft."
After Bazoft was murdered by Saddam Hussein, there were internal discussions in Thatcher's government about whether to sanction Iraq. They decided no, because “We have a considerable commercial presence to protect in Iraq" and it "would be bad for our wider commercial interests"

#FDR promoted the idea that the people of the world, in all nations, shared entitlement to four freedoms: that of the freedom of speech and expression, the freedom of worship, the freedom from want and the freedom from fear.
#FDR is arguably one of the most 'successful' #US Presidents. Some would argue that on the basis of his numerous social policies such as 'the New Deal'. Others, however, would argue that his role during the second world war was more prevalent to his success & everlasting legacy.
