This was an opportunity to tell the real story of institutional problems facing our country yet the film‑makers continue to propagate a misrepresentation of the truth. This isn't a film about Brexit, it’s a film about Dominic Cummings for Dominic Cummings.

We're hoping this isn't going to be as big a let down as Tim Shipman's book which missed the whole illegal activity and glossed over the data analytics issue with a quote from Hanann. Will this movie cover the £115,000 Vote Leave spent with this company? Don't hold your breath.

Now here's Cummings dressing up what they did, in the 2016 EU referendum, with psychobabble, masking the fact that they lied and cheated their way to victory and fooling the unwary into swallowing Vote Leave's bullshit - no wonder he wouldn't appear before the @CommonsCMS
Very little of what Cummings says stands up to scrutiny, here's a small selection of him being demolished during his Treasury committee appearance - another reason he refused to appear before the @CommonsCMS hearings.

Lucas is right, “Parliament has made itself a laughing stock" With no effective oversight Parliament is an impotent bystander watching a government attempt to enact the result of an illegally procured referendum that's already caused immeasurable damage.

1) if you believe that #Brexit will be damaging, you *cannot* argue that #PeoplesVote or #RevokeA50 will be "damaging"

These figures don't tell the whole story, it's a lot worse
Perhaps half of the 46% hate "no deal"
& half hate May's deal

They can't all be happy after Brexit
2) at best even today either Brexit on offer will only please 30% of the country, the rest will feel let down or betrayed by politicians.

And when #Brexit actually bites those against it will easily top 65%

3) Its simply not democratic to push something few will like and most will hate, especially when people have been lied to concerning "cost free/jobs first #Brexit"

Meanwhile charlatans like Mogg & Corbyn will play the line - ahh, but *our* Brexit would have been better

...but made me get around to writing a blog post I've been meaning to write for ages.
Twitter may have its problems as a social network, and its fair share of detractors, but as a means to understand what is going on with #Brexit there is nothing like it.

She said she wouldn’t call an election, but when MPs tried to do their job, she decided to go to the country to ‘crush the saboteurs’ - as that nice mr Dacre put it (3/?)

1) Labour & #Brexit - thread
Quick analysis of this article by @Peston
It talks about a recent private meeting led by McDonnell and is, hopefully a sign that Labour may engage on fighting hard #brexit

But...it doesn't put Labour in a good light

2) firstly, this comment
This illustrates 2 things:
I) after months of people saying that EU membership doesn't limit Labour plans McDonnell has, only now, when #Brexit is at risk, gotten round to proving this for himself - what on earth has he been doing in the meantime?
3) ii) Labour Leadership launched this Manifesto without first checking if it was compatible with even a soft Brexit, therefore they have clearly been supporting hard #Brexit all this time, under the assumption it was needed for their plans, despite the pain it would cause
