She said she wouldn’t call an election, but when MPs tried to do their job, she decided to go to the country to ‘crush the saboteurs’ - as that nice mr Dacre put it (3/?)

She said it would be a #brexit election and she needed the mandate to deliver the will if the people

She fought a personality-based campaign with a single message: string and stable.

She said no deal was better than a bad deal, but having negotiated a bad deal decided that was, after all, preferable

When @JolyonMaugham wanted to ask the courts if we could change our minds, she spent our money trying to stop him.

I’ll repeat that one - she spent our money trying to stop @JolyonMaugham getting information. He wasn’t trying to make her act on it, just asking the question

When no one liked her deal, she spent our money trying to get her view st the top of google searches and buying targeted social media ads that would be seen only by the people she was aiming at

She then spent our money sending ministers who should have been overseeing health, policing, the environment, social care round the country trying to sell it to ‘the people’

People she had insisted would not be given a final say

Defeated three times in the commons and ordered by parliament to surrender control of what happens next if she were to lose again, she pulled tonight’s vote in the face of certain defeat
