NYT has a long history of spreading propaganda from awful Communist regimes. No reason to stop now.
Our HC system has its issues, but I’m going to go ahead and say we don’t have much to learn from a system that is barely supporting 12 million people (vs 300+ million) and results in far worse care, no innovation, and major scarcity issues.
If you really want a healthcare system closer to that of Cuba, feel free to move there. I’d prefer one that actually saves lives instead of fudging the numbers to make it seem successful while people suffer.
I do appreciate that NK is at least being honest about the desire to emulate the Cuban system bc all they care about is being able to say everyone is covered, and then they will pretend like no one could have foreseen the decline in actual care.
I just hope everyone saves up for the bribes you will have to pay just to go see a doctor or get a standard test done within a month.
