Speaking of BS: Trumpers are engaging in a ton of whataboutism now. What about Hillary's Kremlin ties? What about GCI's secret $$$? They are dragging up everything now, no matter how ridiculous. Hence this fresh turd, which deserves a bit of unpacking....

First, the Newtster is a smart guy and the former House Speaker. He knows better; he knows how Congress works; he understands the rules; he knows what he's spouting is complete BS. There was no Feinstein "spy scandal" -- and Gingrich is well aware of that. Yet, he persists.../2

If you knew nothing about this case, you'd read Newt's screed and think: OMG! Why didn't the MSM cover the massive PRC intelligence penetration of Sen Feinstein's staff? How could this happen???

It's fair to point out that the MSM often low-balls negative stories about Dems. /3

But there simply was no "spy scandal". The longtime Feinstein staffer who was a PRC mole was....her driver. I'm not saying that's irrelevant. Feinstein was a longtime SSCI member (and its chair for 6 years). That driver no doubt heard chit-chat which he passed off to Beijing. /4

But the driver didn't hold clearances, he wasn't working in Feinstein's office (and certainly not in her classified office as the SSCI chair). It's embarrassing the driver was a Chinese mole, but how is that HER fault? Congress is SWARMING with such people (incl some members). /5

Moreover, Gingrich glosses over the salient fact of this case: when the FBI informed Sen Feinstein that her driver was suspected of being a Chinese spy, she fired him IMMEDIATELY. This is a fake "spy scandal," folks. The Senator followed the rules. Trump has not. In ANY way. /6

In contrast, Trump has surrounded himself with SENIOR staffers with deep Kremlin intelligence ties (Paulie Walnuts, just for starters) and they seem to have been hired BECAUSE of those secret links. To say nothing of nitwits like Carter P and Georgie P. Gingrich knows better. /7X
