Many for-profit universities exist largely to get their hands on the money the government pays toward tuition as part of gov programs.
The degrees aren’t valuable. People don’t finish them and then can’t find work if they do.
They enroll at a for-profit university like Strayer or University of Phoenix; go for three semesters; realize it would take eight years to finish; and quit.
Easy money.
The student gets nothing of value.
Repeat. Repeat. Repeat.
Some of these for-profit unis are little more than money launderers that shift government money into private hands.
One profiteer: Betsy DeVos.
