Although no evidence was needed for non-Democrats, for those 26% of sensible Democrats, and especially the Democratic-leaning adults, who did not fall for the shiny new object, it's good to see how many other Democrats have become infantile.

Maybe the Democratic base is getting sick and tired of the leaders of the Democratic party, who go to DC and never leave until the Grim Reaper comes calling, and would much rather commit a rapturous harakiri with a shiny new object than die of boredom.

Nancy Pelosi will surely feel victorious tonight. She will wake up tomorrow morning and look into her victory chest for what she won, only to find nothing but skull and bones.
Now watch Democrats beat their breasts all day long about <<< SOTU Postponed >>>, thereby making themselves look smaller and smaller, while by contrast, President Trump appears larger and larger for being the only adult in Washington who cares about really substantive issues.
It is a testament to the level of enduring psychological damage many liberals suffered on 11/08/16 that tonight, having accomplished literally less than nothing (SOTU will be even more terrific for President Trump whenever it happens) feels like an enormous victory to them.

1. On Economic Inequality
Economists need to come up with useful measures of economic well-being of individuals. Wealth/income by quintiles is just about the worst measure I can think of, because it provides no useful policy guidance and incites destructive class warfare.
2. Useful Measures of Economic Well-being
... must capture at least the following four dimensions in my view:
a) Best and worst living conditions (food, shelter, healthcare, liberty, creature comforts) by age group
b) Income progression over lifetimes

1. Emotional Blackmail Using Ignorance of Statistics
'26 richest are as wealthy as bottom half of the world population combined.' What a dastardly inequality, isn't it? Diabolically unfair? Actually, no. Not based on this statistic alone. Will need to see much more.
2. The number of richest people whose combined wealth is equal to the poorest half of all humanity varies from year to year obviously, but contrary to what you might imagine, this number has probably never ever in history been much greater than 50.
3. So is it really shocking that a statistic which always hovers in the range say 10 to 50, happens to be 26 this year. Will the world be much different if the number was 20 or 40. I think not.

team we see in the Media: Bulletproof vests, Kevlar helmets, black boots, and Phoenix Police "raid" shirts on top of their body armor. With pistols and AR-15 rifles, the team broke down the door of the house without announcing they were the police, or that they had a warrant.
