President Trump renegotiated NAFTA w/Mexico which will bring back jobs to U.S. & reduce our trade deficit w/them (when Congress approves it). When our trade deficit is reduced & tax revenues increase from better jobs, these funds are not earmarked "Wall expenditures."

Congress obviously has to allocate the funds, although Mexico will technically give up the cash. Thus, Mexico will be paying for the wall. They aren't going to be the ones building or directly paying the construction workers. It has to go through the United States Congress.

It is NOT racist to want to build walls to prevent criminals from sneaking across our border to commit crimes here - murders, rapes, drug and sex trafficking etc. According to US govt reports, ONE THIRD of our federal prison population are illegal immigrants.

Many Democrats against funding the wall today, were FOR IT in 2006. Secure Fence Act of 2006 (authorized the construction of 700 miles of wall) was supported by 26 Senate Democrats at the time. In the House, 64 Democrats joined 219 Republican lawmakers to fund the border fencing.

The Democrats in support of funding the fencing in 2006 included:

Then-Sen. Hillary Clinton (D-NY)
Then-Sen. Barack Obama (D-IL)
Sen. Dianne Feinstein (D-CA)

What happened to the Democrat Party?

In 2013, every single 54 Democrat Senators voted again to commit funding to secure 700 miles of the U.S.-Mexico border in the Economic Opportunity, and Immigration Modernization Act which was authored and introduced by .... Chuck Schumer.

Those who commented on this tweet, attempting to be funny or snarky, vulgar or rude, did absolutely nothing to contribute to a respectful dialogue about the wall or the solution for our Congress to unite to secure our nation. Instead, they are part of the problem.

I'm not sure why we cannot AGREE as tax-paying American citizens who reside in USA, that we want to know WHO is coming into our country;we want to STOP drug trafficking;we are AGAINST human trafficking of women/children as sex slaves; wish to STOP identify theft? It's not hard.

Our national security has been politicized, when it should be ONE ISSUE that we can all AGREE on and every single elected Representative and Senator should be voting FOR. We need it all: the Wall; Boots on the ground (ICE, Border Patrol); E-verify; Technology; Vetting; Law Reform
