1/ Brutal new AP poll finds Trump's disapproval skyrocketing over shutdown and The Wall:

-Independents: 71% (+13 since Dec)
-College grads: 76% (+11 since Dec)
-Women: 71% (+13 since Dec,)

2/ An huge majority (65%) say the shutdown is a major problem. That includes 33% of Republicans who agree.

Overall, 65% say Trump bears a "great deal" of responsibility for the shutdown. Almost 3 in 10 Rs agree; fully 73% of Rs say Trump is at least partly responsible.

3/ In addition, only the most hard core elements of Trump's base appear to believe ANY of his arguments in favor of The Wall. Nobody else really buys them.

4/ And perhaps most alarmingly for Trump and the GOP, ***even people who support The Wall*** disagree with what Trump is doing. This is when the bottom starts to fall out and that is certainly what we are starting to see in these polls.

5/ Again, here is a quote from a furloughed worker who supports a Wall. Just brutal.

"I do support a wall, but not the way he’s handling it,” Rabalais added. “Trump guaranteed everybody that Mexico would pay for the wall. Now he’s holding American workers like me hostage.”
