It's the world's first #InternationalDayofEducation! There's no better time to reaffirm our commitment to inclusive, equitable and quality education for all children than this first #EducationDay. We celebrate the increasing attention and clamor for education across the world.
We recognize the important role of education in lifting children and families out of poverty and recreating a better future for our society. The future can only be as good as the education we give to the children today but we have reasons to be concerned today. Here's why
Look at these 10 Countries:

Denmark
Barbados
Bahamas
Cape Verde
Guinea Bissau
Swaziland
Sao Tome and Principe
Brunei
Malta
Dominica

The 13.2 million out-of-school children in Nigeria is more than the total population of all these countries put together!
Think about it:

13,200,000 lives!
13,200,000 out-of-school children!
13,200,000 potential leaders, entrepreneurs, teachers, professionals...!

These are not just numbers. They are the valuable human capital Nigeria is losing if we keep arms folded. #DayofEducation
We believe that the most important action in putting Nigeria on the path of sustainable development is securing the right of every child to education. The fact of Nigeria's 13.2million out-of-school children depicts a distant reality from our desire.
13.2million out-of-school children are not numbers. They are the worst imaginable and imminent disaster waiting to happen if we do nothing. This is a matter of national emergency that requires deliberate strategic actions beyond mere indication of political will. #DayofEducation
At The Destiny Trust, the education of children is central to our strategy to lift disadvantaged children and their families out of poverty. Support the efforts to create a safer and prosperous future today. This is how we do it: #DayofEducation
