I love reading Mueller’s indictments for the Easter eggs.

There are always little nuggets that tell us things that go far beyond the criminal conduct of the indicted party.

They’re little treasures.

In my first read of the full indictment, two jumped out...

1/
The first:

The indictment appears to allude to Mueller having access to communications through WhatsApp.

As Stone indicates, WhatsApp was believed to be a more secure txting app. Trump staffers allegedly used it. Jared Kushner still uses it to msg w his Saudi Prince friend.

2/
While the indictment doesn’t explicitly state it, the implication is that Stone directed someone to switch to WhatsApp and Mueller knows what was said there too.

If true, a whole lot of Trump folk are going to have unpleasant days ahead.

3/
The irony about allegedly secure channels like WhatsApp is that they are not secure at all but that belief leads knuckleheads and petty crooks to feel unduly safe.

It’s like Gotti running his mouth off in a small apartment in the building next to the Ravenite.

4/
Crooks who think they’re free to talk tend to talk a lot about being crooks.

It’s no shock that Mueller has WhatsApp msgs since the NSA can know what color underwear you’re wearing if they really want...

Interesting that it clearly wasn’t evidence seized from Stone though.

5/
Meaning, this evidence was available through surveillance or collection. It wasn’t taken from a Stone device...

...or was it?

Which brings us to Easter egg #2.

6/
The indictment alleges that Mueller has proof that not only did Stone lie about his messages he had sent and received, he still had them IN HIS POSSESSION.

7/
Needless to say, you can only accuse someone of having something in their possession if you happen to know what they had in their possession.

Mueller apparently knew not only what msgs Stone sent but which ones were STILL ON HIS PHONE.

8/
In an unrelated recent case, a suspect in a leaking case was called in to the FBI for a meeting.

Without his knowing it, the FBI cloned his phone while he was there.

They had a no-serve warrant and basically lifted a copy of his phone, as I understand it.

9/
Did Roger Stone ever meet with Mueller? I can’t remember.

If he did, perhaps they did the same here. That would probably cause every other Trumpie who walked into Mueller’s offices pucker a bit.

10/
Seems more likely the FBI had access to what txts and emails Stone still had through his phone co or network access or some other backend entry point...

Regardless of how Mueller knows what he is alleging here, he knows what dirty msgs ppl sent, deleted and still have.

11/
Let that one percolate.

Witnesses and suspects who walked into Mueller’s office for interviews were inevitably asked about their communications with the Trump Admin.

They inevitably lied and Mueller likely knew what messages they lied about and whether they still had them.

12/
You can bet that some of those people then went and deleted those msgs. And you can bet Mueller knows that too.

Bottom-line: Mueller telegraphed that he has electronic comms from his targets across even encrypted channels.

Whatever they said, he heard.

13/
These realizations MUST be creating a sinking feeling of impending doom for Junior, et al.

They spoke carelessly over channels they thought were secure. They lied about those comms.

Mueller knows and is dropping indictments one by one.

He’s rolling ‘em up. Delicious.
