I watched the left spend years creating an alternate reality where America is awful, the rich are responsible for the suffering of the poor, and we need government to step in to fix it. Now the populist right is doing the same exact thing.
Meanwhile, I happen to turn on Maher's show and (after Ann Coulter endorses a 70% m tax rate) he has a panel full of leftists who declare that everyone who disagrees with them is racist and that all of our national institutions are broken/rigged.
This is what we have to choose from now? Two sides who play on envy and falsehoods to disparage what made America the greatest country in human history and insist we must immediately abandon it?
What option does that leave those of us who aren't swayed by those things?

What about those of us who are actually grateful for America, the Constitution, our unique system of government, and the incredible economic success those things have created? Who prefer limited government that delivers economic opportunities instead of trying to dictate results?
What about those of us whose primary goal isn't for the government to punish our political enemies or those who have worked hard to succeed & improve the lives of others? Those of us who aren't primarily motivated by ignorance and envy?
