This would make sense, given the context that the Mueller investigation is a mixture of every single investigation opened by the FBI before he was hired, which would ultimately include the verification of the dossier.
Don't forget that Steele did meet with Team Mueller at some point in Summer 2017 (June, July, August).

It was on July 16, 2017, that Steele and Bruce Ohr texted each other, where Steele informed Bruce that he had contacted former colleagues whom said they would not prevent Steele from re-engaging with the FBI.

3. The book is TRUE, reads like a legal thriller but NAMES prosecutors who rose to positions of great power on the backs of people they wrongfully convicted.
It NAMES federal judges who turned a blind eye to egregious injustices.
