The WH claim that Trump’s orange hue is “good genes” rather than a mismatched spray tan is one of those narcissist lies that falls into the “whopper” category. Narcissists will tell lies that are so outrageous one is at a complete loss as to where to begin to refute them.
Is there a better way to gaslight and have one question their sanity than for a narcissist to say something so absurd that we question our faculties? The narcissist believes that the only requirement needed to make something true or factual is to have it pass through their lips.
These brazen lies to an already shell shocked psychological abuse victim bestow an incredulous, surreal quality to the abuse, leaving one with the only natural recourse but to retreat, to submit.
The narcissist achieves their goal not so much through the content of the whopper lie but by the emotional response of the abuse victim to the irrational claim. The narcissist’s idealized self is validated when victims submit to the crazy-making, absurdity of the claim.
The whole point of the narcissist’s psychological abuse is to get the target to self destruct because it validates the superiority and omnipotence of their idealized self over everyone, and conceals their defective, conscienceless true self.
While the “good genes” lie may seem like frivolous absurdity, Trump’s dangerousness is that if he can’t get us to self destruct through psychological abuse, he will find another method to destroy us because we know the truth of his pathology, & that he’s a complete & utter fraud.
