it's fortunate that absolutely nobody makse that "democrats voted against civil rights" argument in good faith because it would mean that person is so dog-dumb that if two people swap chairs they just keep talking to the same chair even though a different person is in it

"you can always get another day job" is the dumbest most oblivious white tech boy shit i have seen in my life. i know two types of people: those who have been employed in a chain of jobs attained through nepotism or the tech industry since they were 17, and people who struggle
if you don't program you can't "just" get a job. it's fucking months of effort. taco bell isn't hiring. the 90s are fucking OVER
if you work for less than $60k a year getting a new job takes upwards of six months. fuck off. go eat shit. piss up a rope. jobs are FUCKING FAKE. THE 90S ARE OVER.

a particularly fucked up thing about this is that often when someone on the phone tells you "it's policy", it
A) isn't
or
B) wasn't until ten minutes ago when they put you on hold to talk to their boss who also didn't know
when you're talking to customer service of any level at any company it is extremely common for the people you're talking to to make shit up from whole cloth. i have seen it done by coworkers and been a verified recipient of it countless times.
it works like this
company never thinks to write a policy about this
it comes up on a call
agent has to give an answer; not giving an answer is not an option
agent has no access to anyone with true authority

My followers know I used to be an active member of the Democratic party. I walked away last year, inspired by @usminority's movement. Yet since being shown the truth, it's like the floodgates have opened. Every day, I realize more and more, how wrong #Democrats are. #TRUTH
There are a few issues that I just can't handle. Can not handle. Some of the main ones are, abortion of babies, and the abuses/corruption of law enforcement by top Democrat operatives. What is happening on the topic of abortion is horrendous. It is not normal. Out of control.
I don't claim to have all the answers. I was a donor to the Democratic party for years; not the largest, by far. I did give enough to be around top personalities and was very active in attending conventions and meetings and so forth, so I do have a good amount of info.

The Civil Rights Act of 1866 was passed by Republicans in the House and Senate. Democrat President Andrew Johnson vetoed it. Republicans did a veto override. Why were Dems so eager to stop the Bill? What is this about? I thought Dems were the pioneers of Civil Rights?

2. He's absolutely right that the #Democrats need to focus on policy issues, but in ADDITION TO not INSTEAD OF Trump's actions and investigations. And, yes, in the 2016 election we failed to do that. Consistently unsettled by his behavior, we were stuck against the ropes.
3. It's not easy. As a voice of political activism, it's overwhelming. Keeping actionable focus on policy while still giving perspective and analysis on the inevitable 'shock of the day' feels like herding cats, but risking the normalization of the Trump era is unconscionable.
