Somewhat surprisingly, anonymous message board and toxic wellspring of the internet 4chan has an API one can use to retrieve data. We decided to take a gander at /pol/ (the "politically incorrect" forum popular among #AltWankers). #ASeriesOfUn4ChanateEvents

For those of you who may not be familiar with it, 4chan is unlike most internet forums/social media sites in that there are no user accounts - everyone is theoretically anonymous. That being said. . .
Like pretty much all websites, 4chan logs your IP address. What's more, its default behavior is to use this information to publicly tag your posts with country-of-origin. (Tip: use Tor or VPN when accessing sites and you want to mask your location.) 
We used the 4chan API to download the available data for /pol/, resulting in a total of 21455 threads containing 894485 comments. As far as the topics we see frequently in Twitter research go, Trump, Russia, antifa, and immigration are common.
A theme not captured in the previous chart: white nationalism/white supremacy/white power/anti-pretty-much-anyone-not-white sentiments are a major theme of the discourse over at 4chan's /pol/.
What external material do 4chan users link? In terms of news sources, the most popular turns out to be C-SPAN, with a variety of mainstream sources, Russia Today, and something called magapill(dot)com rounding out the remainder.
/pol/ users link to Twitter and Reddit content fairly frequently. Based on the Twitter accounts linked, they appear to be intensely interested in monitoring Trump's schedule. @RepLeeZeldin stands out as the most frequently linked member of Congress.
The set of Reddit forums most frequently linked from /pol/ reemphasizes the aforementioned white nationalist/alt-right focus. The one at the top of the list (/r/altrightdebate) has even earned a warning label from Reddit.
Correction - @AOC is the most frequently linked MoC in the dataset, @RepLeeZeldin is in second place.
