1-Sen Warren told a story today about ending up where she stood this afternoon, on that podium announcing her candidacy.
When her first child was 2 she “had a notion” that she wanted to go to Law School, so she made a list of all the things that she had to do to make it happen

2-& one by one ticked off the things on that list until she got to the last, Childcare for her daughter, Amelia. No matter where she looked she couldn’t locate that childcare, until the weekend before the first term began, when she finally found a decent daycare-with “cheerful

3-teachers, lots of toys & ‘nothing [that] smelled funny”..there was one caveat, they only took kids who were ‘reliably potty trained’ & Amelia was not.
Sen Warren said that she 5 days to make that a reality,

4-& then she said, “So I stand before you today courtesy of 3 bags of M&Ms & a cooperative toddler & no fight will be ever be too big to take on”
Every woman (& some men) whom I know can relate to this story.

5-And for me, now, it’s a lament to courage, & the fact that good humor, decent perspective & often, just a step back & a thoughtful breath, can get you wherever you want to go. #Warren2020 #BlueWave2020 #SaturdayThoughts
