I'll always hold that "mere" criticism of AIPAC's positions or Israel government's positions is not anti-semitic. However, singling out AIPAC from other lobbyists (like singling out Soros from other big donors) can be done in an anti-semitic way. Her apology was good, well-timed.
Having open dialogue about whether and when to support Israel's government is a needed tonic in US politics. I don't think AIPAC is different from other lobbying organizations - and HR1 is a good step to opening our politics back up to reduce lobbyists' influence. All of them.

And before the other law nerds beef this thread, yes, co-conspirator is presumed to intend the natural & probable consequences of whatever he agreed to do. E.g., murder when you rob bank with guns.

But “winning” can’t possibly be a natural and probable consequence of “losing.”
So my working hypothesis is there were two separate conspiracies, the Venn diagram overlap area of which contains a tiny few ppl (Manafort, Junior, Kush, Ivanka).

Trump Senior had a conspiracy to get money by not winning.

Putin had a conspiracy to control the USA.
Now do another paradigm shatter. When you imagine the “Trump circle” and the “Putin circle,” are you imagining all the ppl named “Trump” or married to a Trump in the “Trump circle”? Yeah, you are.

Move all of them except Trump Senior Moment to the overlap area.

Go with me for a sec, on the Burr thing. There are several possible ways to define the central idea of Trump/Russia:

- conspiracy to steal election and put Trump in WH

- conspiracy to buy politicians with money-laundered Russian mob proceeds

- conspiracy to fuck shit up in USA
Defined these three different ways, it would be perfectly legit to look at the same evidence and say “Yes, campaign colluded” or “No, campaign didn’t collude,” based on what you’d need to prove they conspired or colluded IN.

Now I must law-nerd digress. Conspiracy is the crime.
It’s a crime where you collude to accomplish a goal that’s criminal. It has two basic requirements: 1) an agreement to engage in criminal act(s) 2) some action that each charged defendant takes to further the goal of that agreement.

Let’s focus on “agreement.”

Zero. That's right. Zero.
(That's also what chills me about the "taping-up-women-and-throwing-them-in-the-back-seat" thing he's addicted to reciting.)
I mean, no, Trump's not a doctor, and he's not a coyote. But the things that really grab his demented synapses, get stuck there, and keep cycling out his piehole, are as a general rule found to be projections from his own crimes.

1. Condemning the Israeli gov and its attempt to influence US policy is no different than condemning the USG and its foreign policy or condemning Saudi Arabia and its influence over the USG. It's not a Jewish thing. Its a corruption thing. I say that as a Jew.
2. It's really dangerous to equate the Israeli government with Judaism and with Jewish people who are nationals of other countries. In fact, the Israeli gov frequently endorses people and movements in the US who are actual anti-Semites and puts American Jews in jeopardy.
3. Case in point: Supporting Trump because it will help Israel at the expense of American Jews, who have seen a rise in hate crimes as a result. Israel is a nation with a Jewish identity and a Jewish population, but it certainly does not speak for Jews all over the world.
