3/ from the doj/legal community at the time thought, yep good call Trump. He had to go. Because the circumstances had obviously changed radically by May 2017, in ways that were obvious and public.
4/ Your critique here seems to both ignore my central point about selective silence and in an odd way actually confirm it. There was quite a lot that was good in the IG report. But again, the key point he was asked to address at the end of 2016 were all but ignored.
5/ To me it is not a complete surprise that those are the ones that would likely be the most discomfiting to the President and the current DOJ leadership.
