You stopped entry into the program in September and told those who deliver the program not to tell parents. Gave them talking points to conceal information critical to families. Hardly a foundation of trust.
You threatened a therapist group, telling them if they didn't support the new OAP it would be "a long four years". The very therapists who support an autistic child's development and care for all the children they serve.
You treated parents who were upset about your changes to the OAP like political foes, calling them a “professional protest” group. You didn't call them that when you were making promises to them. They are simply parents who love & are willing to fight for their children.
You refuse to release the financial details of your plan. Most importantly the income testing. Parents need to know. If you can't be transparent about your numbers, how can anyone believe the numbers you routinely quote? Why is it so hard for you to do this?
You quote numbers that are lower than what you know is in the Public Accounts and the 2018-19 budget. Why is that?
You have treated parents as adversaries, held off care for children in desperate need to suit your own ends and refuse to be upfront about the cost.
@lisamacleod given all this how is it possible for the parents, or any of us for that matter, to have confidence or trust in you?
