Per SDNY, the *company* accounted for the payments as legal expenses and, per Cohen, Trump cut the check from his *personal* account. If you make a practice of abusing the corporate form like that, someone somewhere is liable to pierce the veil.
One check from the personal account, another from the trust. Chaos. Mass hysteria. 
The form of this check that Trump just tweeted (#3363) substantially corroborates Cohen's testimony about the check he received from Trump as part of the felonious hush money reimbursement scheme (#2821).
