1- There's a long, great thread around this tweet. Read it all, it is spot-on. This is one of the money tweets & mirrors my own experience. 10 yrs ago I knew our media was left-leaning but trusted they were anchored in some rudimentary integrity & journalistic standards (cont).
2- But that all changed. The Media abanoned their credibility in 2016 when Jim Reutenberg basically said "damn the torpedos, we must stop Trump". Well, they didn't stop Trump. But, they did hit their own ship (cont).

3- Like the ending of "The Hunt for Red October", they torpedoed themselves. Their credibility is virtually shot. We now turn to non-tradtional media. We mine our news. And the Media doesn't get to tell us how to think anymore (cont).
4- We're skeptical of every story you put out, whether it be about a smirking kid, a ridiculous "hate crime", or the next great Trump conspiracy theory. The Media will never get back the level of influence they once had (cont.)
5- A level of inlfuence that for years led to Walter Cronkite being named the mosted trused man in America. Can anyone imagine any journalist earning that distinction today? RIP Media, you did this to yourselves.
