It was the height of incompetence that Democrats didn't zero-in on this issue when they questioned Kavanaugh.
Democrats made the mistake of treating their question time as if it was the only part of the hearing that would be televised. They asked same questions that had already been asked, made the same points that already had been made, never followed up, ignored many issues altogether.
Democrats should have had a well-prepared counsel with trial experience ask all the questions. Kavanaugh never would have survived.
