I went to my GP & realised that there is an obvious divide between the British people... and...

... it has sod all to do with Brexit.

I'm going to tell you this story below:

After checking in on the system I walked into the full waiting room following the couple in front of me 10 feet behind.

The couple went to sit where there were 4 spare seats in a row. A 'lady' saw them walking to the seats. She clearly didn't want them there to sit there.

The lady quickly tossed a magazine she had 2 seats along from her in an attempt to stop them sitting next to her. It worked.

I was disgusted & preceded to go to the last 2 seats, 1 with the magazine still on it next to the hurt looking lady who had just sat down.

Instead of sitting in the last seat I went to the sad lady & asked 'are you reading that?' pointing to the magazine.

She sheepishly said 'no'. I picked it up and placed it next to the white lady and then sat next to the Asian lady.

Wow did I get evils from the white lady?!

I think you get the picture now. I got great pleasure from the appreciative sideward glance I got from the Asian couple who were, of course, locals speaking better English (with a slight West country accent) than our white countrywomen.

Half the waiting room stared at me!

I heard the words, coming from my left (the white lady's husband) 'can't wait for Brexit!'

I then realised Brexit is all about fear, racism & ignorance.

B4 Brexit this sort of blatant racist behaviour was keep under wraps but now it's not hidden - it's actively sought out.

The male Asian Briton was then called - I'll never forget the lovely smile both the couple gave me as they turned to me before walking into the surgery.

At the same time I'll never forget the 1st time is was embarrassed to be British.

Brexit has nothing to do with the EU. Sad.
