#ADOS need to figure out if their goal is closing the wealth gap or getting reparations, because those goals are related but not the same.

Baby Bonds would help to close the racial wealth gap. As would a tax on the 1%. But those things aren't reparations.
Similarly, depending on how you paid reparations, they wouldn't close the racial wealth gap. For example, under Marianne Williamson's much celebrated reparations plan, each ADOS would get a few thousand bucks -- hardly enough to close the racial wealth gap.
If you're unclear, politicians will be able to get away with passing off (good and helpful) programs that close the racial wealth gap as "reparations."

If reparations are the goal, praising 2020 candidates, none of whom support real reparations, isn't helping.
My personal priority is closing the wealth gap and getting the Americans who are worst off out of poverty. I will continue to advocate for policies that do that.

But I also support reparations and intend to press for specifics about to best go about designing a real plan.
