A Rebuttal to the Criticism on Aurat March 2019:

Number 1: What are you marching for? We don't need a March, all women have equal rights in Pakistan anyway. Islam guarantees 'respect' for women and protects them.

These are instances of ONLY gender-based violence. Discrimination z obviously rampant when it comes to education 12 mil girls out of school compared t 10 mil boys), employment, and representation in d government. EveryD, women struggle for thr basic needs and thr God-given right
Number 2: The women organizing and attending these events are already 'empowered'. Also, 'mombati brigade'.
This is false. Women, transgender and non-binary folk from all walks of life are joining. comng frm katchi abadis/affluent areas alike, they have differnt levels of education, they r part of religious and ethnics minorities. they are all here to collectively fight the patriarchy!
The 'mombati brigade' recognizes their privilege, and strives to use their connections for a cause that matters to every woman. Because every woman has suffered from the patriarchy in one way or another, and every woman wants a brighter future for her daughter, and yes, her son.
Number 3: The marches are a publicity stunt for funding.
The marches are NOT bng organized by any sngle NGO, alliance or p. party. Org teams are made entirely of volunteers - from studnts 2 p.workers to lawyers to writers/artsts to, yes, 'NGOaunties' whor helping the movmnt along with AL those facing violence/oppression frm patriarchy!
The very limited amount of funds we have has been donated from our own pockets and by well-wishers and supporters from across Pakistan.
Number 4: These women only want to spread 'fahashi' and take off their clothes.
I urge evryone who makes this comment 2 carefully go through al pics/videos 2018/2019-count dat D headscarves and the dupattas,d full sleves/D long shirts are as much, if not more, than D 'fahash' clothing. Remember, feminists fight for CHOICE-choice to cover, choice to not cover
Number 5: The women going to Aurat March/Aurat Azadi March hate men.
Absolutely untrue. Feminists do not hate men. They want to overthrow the patriarchy - a system designed BY men, designed to favor men, and designed to make sure the power always lies with men ONLY. Do you know how many genders are effected by this corrupt system? ALL.__continue..
ALL. We fight for men 2 - so they can pursue their passion, even if it's 'girly'/so they can choose to stay at home and NOT be obligated to run a household/so they can cry when they want to-so they can nurture children/animals without it being deemed a threat to thr masculinity.
