Just a joint work stream? Not even with timelines, or any other commitments? This is the most basic of the basic which should have been agreed months ago
And then blame the EU for not going back on what was agreed in December 2017? And which we were repeatedly told in recent weeks?
Feels like nothing less than the PM blaming the EU for her own negotiating incompetence
Stating the obvious it is not the job of the EU to prevent the PM being personally humiliated in Parliament. She agreed a deal then backtracked. Alternatives are available, sympathy in short supply itv.com/news/2019-03-0…

About time too, and the right timing - if the meaningful vote falls then we start a new process

Something weird happening to Gov - they appear to be returning to competence
If we're getting properly grown up about Brexit we should probably think about how long we need as an extension if the PM's deal fails. I would say 12 months is realistic, but will need a lot of upfront effort from Gov to find new consensus
Don't know about anyone else but can see virtually no chance of the PM's deal passing next week. So more quickly than anyone expected we are heading to a new Brexit phase. But the outcome remains completely uncertain.

Minority view:

The PM is perfectly entitled to give a final chance for her deal or say it will be long extension
Extension short or long will both already have been discussed with or at EU
Any alternate approach would take time to negotiate so indicative votes not magic solution
Even more minority view:

Far from being a disastrous / dreadful / shocking blah two days in Parliament, MPs have collectively started to think for themselves, and Government has started to respond. Long way to go though
Another minority view:

PM not putting the same matter to the House a third time, might be the same deal (will be, whatever Vienna Convention tosh is talked) but the wrapping (extension to June if passed, longer extension if falls) makes this perfectly allowable.

The significance of tonight's votes on Brexit do not seem to have been fully grasped, so let's have a go at the analysis... 1/ (sorry another thread)
First, the UK will almost certainly not leave the EU in two and half weeks time. Of course it's possible the EU turns down an extension, but with the PM having outlined two realistic options for extension, I don't think they will. 2/
Next, it is in the balance as to whether we leave at the end of June with the PM's deal or not. A third meaningful vote will be held next week, and there will be huge pressure on MPs to back Brexit and see the referendum result honoured... but 3/

alright so, it is time. this is going to be a long, winding, rambling thread. i posted yesterday about demons existing and this interesecting with the world of psychedelia. ive posted about this in the past a little and there is always a huge response, people are very into it.
the thing is ive been hesitant to paint the full picture as i see it for a few reasons. mostly because what i see as the full picture is an intersection of so many seemingly completely unrelated things that its quite a long walk between many seemingly disparate things.
its also seemed completely insane to me for some time. however at this point there are so many connections and threads that sync up that ive actually changed over from this being a crazy idea that i have to actually thinking that this is the most sane thing ive ever thought.

Over the past year I’ve seen more and more of these kinds of tweets. “I didn’t like/vote for Trump, but I have to admit…..” These have to admits turn into votes. And votes turn into reinforcing his policies. And that creates a feedback loop that leads to a political tsunami.
As Trump continues to notch accomplishments, he drags in more and more people, perhaps kicking and screaming, that have to admit he’s done good things. How do you spin three Americans being released in exchange for - apparently nothing?
How do you spin people getting more money in their paychecks? How do you spin ISIS being destroyed? Al Qaeda leaders being killed? Famous blacks coming out in support of Trump? Justices filling vacancies at a record rate? Record low unemployment for blacks and Hispanics?
