@SenMikeLee - "I support a border wall." Says it's a tragedy that Congress hasn't done something about it. Supports @potus use of legally available funding to build a border. Says the fault lies with Congress and asks that Congress get into the weeds of legislation.
@ThomTillis "My main concern is "future" uses of Emergencies Act." Has changed his mind and will not vote for resolution to rebuke @potus for declaring national emergency.
@chuckschumer National Emergencies are for "genuine emergencies". Argues that this is not an emergency. Says we have gotten no reason why this is an emergency. Says @potus is mad about "not getting his way and is going around Congress." He says, "Woe is our Republic."
@chuckschumer "President has been vindictive." Claims this is a moment which changes fundamental balance of power. Invokes "our nation, our Constitution" to exhort Republicans to vote with him.
Now, the roll is called for the Vote To Terminate @potus Declaration of National Emergency for the Southern Border. The voting is drawn out because only a handful of Senators, mostly Dems, are on the floor to vote.
The clerk is reading the vote which has fallen along party lines with exception of four or five Republicans, notably Rubio, Romney and Paul have joined the Dems.
The Vote passed 59-41 and now the ball is in the President's court to veto Congress.
Twelve Republican senators joined Democrats,
Lamar Alexander Tenn.
Roy Blunt Mo
Susan Collins Me.
Mike Lee Utah
Jerry Moran Kan.
Lisa Murkowski Alaska
Rand Paul Ky.
Rob Portman Ohio
Mitt Romney, Utah
Marco Rubio Fla.
Patrick J. Toomey Pa.
Roger Wicker Miss.
If you research these twelve, you'll find that six or seven are globalist Bush Republicans who have no problem with a porous or even open border.
During the '90s there was a push led by the Council on Foreign Relations (CFR) to create the North American Union, essentially providing for the unrestricted movement of people between Mexico, the US and Canada.
Although the effort failed, the Bush wing of the GOP has been silently complicit ever since in the stealthy implementation of the NAU goals which included programs such as DACA, student exchanges, and other programs designed to create a supranational governmental organization...
eroding US sovereignty in the process.

Some of the twelve voting against @realDonaldTrump did not do so out of Constitutional concerns.
