This week's Brexit tracker is brought to you slightly earlier than normal, and even more inaccurately than normal, since we never plugged in a delay option, which means outcomes could happen this year or next...
and it's good news for the PM's deal, now the overwhelming most likely option. The only option that is now in any way likely in the coming months. And even in a delay and rethink, a similar deal could still in the end be passed. No-deal, if it happens, is now a 2020 option
If we get into a longer delay perhaps the softer Brexit and referendum options will emerge, but I would caution that this is far from guaranteed given the debate of the last three years. They've never exactly had much traction as we see....
And that is the dilemma for the Brexiteer wing of the Conservative Party. Exit the EU, but into a likely permanent close relationship, this year, or hold out for the continuing possibility of no-deal. We wait to see next week. Have a good weekend all.
