As a brief aside from the Brexit madness. Here is a short, positive, thread about globalisation (and its limits).
While on honeymoon in Japan, the day before we flew home, we decided to buy a Nintendo Switch to use on the plane (we had watched all of the films on the way out).
I was slightly worried that it wouldn't work in the UK - as was the man in the shop - but the internet told me otherwise. No more regional restrictions; the Switch is universal and works all over the world.

Brilliant.
So I bought it, set it up in English, registered an account with Nintendo, downloaded two games using the hotel wifi (Mario Kart and Pokemon, thanks for asking) and away we go.
We’ve come a long way from worrying that the DVD you bought while travelling wouldn’t work on your home DVD player.

However, there’s one thing that will never change. The one thing we still haven’t manage to find a global solution to.
The bloody plug. Had to buy an adaptor.
