The govt and banks Paul Manafort owes money to are still negotiating how to handle the forfeiture of his assets, per new status report. This case is being handled by Mueller's office and DOJ Criminal Division (report is signed by the Crim Division atty) assets.documentcloud.org/documents/5778… 
This is one example of cases that came out of Mueller's investigation where they've been working with other DOJ units for a while now, laying the groundwork to smoothly spin them off whenever Mueller is done (and I *do not know* when that will be)
For example, Roger Stone's case is being handled jointly by Mueller's office and the US attorney's office in DC. At several early hearings, the DC prosecutors, not Mueller's lawyers, took the lead in the proceedings
