I’m pretty surprised, given two years of evidence of exactly this, but if this is Mueller’s conclusion, I have to accept it. What I’d like to know is if this is a “didn’t” or “can’t prove it” situation, but if this is accurate, it confirms Trump’s denials. /1

I’m not a lawyer, so I don’t know how much of this is lawyer-ese. But as a counterintelligence matter, I can’t figure how the president’s campaign chairman being jungled up with the Russians isn’t “knowing.” Unless were back to a “can’t prove it legally“ situation. /3
But now I’m wondering why a bunch of guys are going to jail for lying about something that supposedly didn’t happen. If Mueller didn’t find anything, why all the lying? Makes no sense - unless Trump’s guys thought Mueller had more proof. So they lied preemptively. Oops. /4
So, now, I’d really, really like to see the actual report, not Barr’s summary of it. /5x
