A number of people have compared the coverage of the Trump collusion probe to the Hillary email probe. What's the difference?
There’s a glaring difference between these incidents. The FBI investigation into Clinton, prompted by tangible evidence provided by Congress, uncovered all kinds of real-life illegality.
Comey only let Hillary slide because he alleged, although it wasn’t his charge, that prosecutors wouldn’t be able to prove intent.
As far as we know, the evidence that led to the Trumpworld investigation was largely based on feelings of intel heads who disliked Trump’s position on Russia plus an uncorroborated political document produced to smear an opposition candidate.
And, of course, the biggest difference is in how both were covered by political media. One was an obsession about a stolen presidency, the other -- even if you think it was overcovered -- was largely factual.
