People will tell you this isn't true and my belief is evidence of privilege. That's the conspiracy talking. Everything proves a conspiracy.
Not only did people my age not hate black people. It didn't even occur to us that we were supposed to hate black people. The Jeffersons started in 1975. Magic Johnson was on kids' walls by 1980. Doc Gooden by 1985. That's ignoring Jordan.
My dad was Generation X and he watched black boxers dominate the 70s. Blacks not being in pro sports and entertainment was settled in the fucking 1940s.
It culminated with a black man being elected president! People in the 90s thought they'd never live to see a black man elected president and it happened in 2008! It was a stunning, historical thing!
And then, suddenly, we decided to start telling people their children were born evil. You stupid, stupid maniacs.
If you want to tell people your belief system is not a religion, don't include original sin.
