Genuine, non-snarky question: do you think the trend of founders who run companies & side hustle as angel investor fund managers will succeed or perish. Why or why not?

I didn't realize until this month how prevalent it has become. Lots of friends doing it so no judgement.
Further, how will it change or disrupt series A investing?
As a founder looking for investors, do you care where the money came from? It used to be that the money was directly from the person's personal wealth. Bonus: check sizes are bigger so cap tables are simpler.
