Free plus shipping in general is a very hard strategy to turn profitable (one main exception, I'll talk about it at the end).
Your room for profitability is very tight.
No? Let me tell you.
Cheapskates.
They are only interested in your product because it's "free".
That's why there is always such a high drop off rate from add to cart to initiate checkout.
So why would creating a lookalike off of that data be a good idea?
FB would just find more people like that and you would continue to break even, at best.
Please do not do this, you are much better off having a traditional set up and waiting a little longer to gather that data.
I just don't want people using it for the sole purpose of acquiring data quicker.
Free plus shipping is still a difficult model but including upsells is a must if you want to make it work.
I was actually talking about this with @RyanRichDD who has been crushing it with free plus shipping because he has upsells in place.
