Scoop: the BBC has triggered its no-deal Brexit plan, moving broadcast licences to Amsterdam 1/ bloom.bg/2K33FO0
The move relates to BBC Studios, its commercial arm, which generates hundreds of millions of pounds broadcasting shows like Doctor Who and Eastenders into EU markets 2/
The BBC currently beams the channels out using U.K. permits, which would become invalid in the EU if there's a no-deal Brexit 3/
No big staff relocations though -- they'll only need to move a small number of employees to the Netherlands to qualify for the new licences. TV execs worry though that London risks losing its status as the broadcasting capital of Europe. 4/
