weird how all these settler colonial states that enshrine racialized caste systems and fetishize in-group reproduction and militarized total border control are such close allies
good thing the whole scene isn't also overdetermined by apocalyptic religious agendas, sequellae of ongoing and historical traumas, and the terminally unsustainable political economy of a global order built on an energy source that itself generates mass migration and disasters!

Since @HoustonChron dropped their article Sat. night on sexual abuse in SBC churches, I've tried to reflect and listen. To survivors, who have spoken out in gratitude that their stories are finally being heard--and to leaders, who have condemned this behavior and promised change.
My heart is broken to know that we have collectively allowed such behavior to go on almost entirely unchallenged. But I haven't wept, and I think it's because I'm not surprised. Some of that article was brand new information, but most of it we already knew.
For years, Dee Parsons of @wartwatch has been writing about this. Christa Brown has spent over a decade detailing specifics on stopbaptistpredators.org and stopbaptistpredators.blogspot.com. It was Christa's work that first made many of us aware of the Darrell Gilyard debacle.

so let's talk about these liberals masquerading as socialists/"leftists" and characterizing decolonization as merely appealing to self-determination, autonomy, sovereignty, etc. while rejecting that this applies to the whole of the illegitimate settler-colonial state.
since white Australians are particularly fragile and infantile, i'll instead use a different group as an example: the despicable white Canadians. in Feb 2018, it was announced that the Canadian govt would officially recognize and honor the recognition of Indigenous rights.
these rights include the right to self-determination and self-governance as well as the reconstruction of the various Indigenous nations. but wait, that sounds like the plan the aforementioned "leftists" spoke about. correct. these "leftists" are as radical as Justin Trudeau.
