Because of the collapse in the business model for journalism, we get very little foreign news coverage. But at the same time, we have Google Translate--an astonishing advance in machine translation. It's good enough to be used to read most foreign newspapers.

I'm not sure whether people are aware how well Google Translate can handle this kind of task. It's amazing.

I'm going to try putting out a weekly (or even daily) summary of the most interesting articles I find in those papers.

I wonder if this could replace some of the reporting gap.
