Culture is human software synced amongst many nodes.
With the internet we’ve seen a shift from proprietary cultural development (e.g., church, state, etc) to open source cultural development (i.e., anyone, anywhere).
Alongside the shift in who develops the cultural software, we’ve also seen a marked increase in the rate of development due to the massive and instantaneous distribution of new ideas.
Compared to even a few decades ago, cultural norms, memes, modes of connection, and more, are turning over on a near annual basis. It used to take a generation to do this.
Sometimes the infinite possibility in the programmability of our collective minds can be overwhelming.

That’s when I turn to meditation, seeking the wisdom and sense of being that has persisted through generations unchanged.
