Remember China March trade, esp imports contracting further? Want to see wut it looks like per country breakdown?

It's ugly. Everyone is seeing Chinese demand slowing, even France😬. Red everywhere. Even stellar Australian exports slowing.
So that was March. Want to see it on a quarterly basis (as in Q1 trade figures). Pay attention to the country breakdown of imports (total -4.4% YoY in Q1 2019 in USD). Also as u read this, remember that China threw 9% of GDP into the eco in Q1 2019 & import contraction deepens😬
Updated of by-country w/ Germany included (not looking good but we knew that from German manufacturing PMI declining)

News flow says Asian equities up on "extension" 🤗of China deleveraging (remember 9% of GDP TSF injection in Q1 so good bye "deleveraging") & then SHCOMP spectacularly went down 📉on investors feeling too EXTENDED. News furiously coming up w/ reasons sudden📉, hint sellers>buyers
Can't spend ur life trying to understand why markets go up or down every day - key is to understand fundamentals & enjoy the "ride", whether 📈 or 📉. Keynes: Markets can remain irrational for longer than you can remain solvent😎

Bottom line: Make $$$$ & have fun no matter wut🤗
So apparently people are "worried" that the liquidity injection in Q1 2019 (again, roughly 9% of GDP injected) will be scaled back as, well, it was massive. And so equity buyers had some deleveraging extension fatigue today...Goes to show, investors/markets fickle 🤗

Good morning🌞. Happy to be back in 🇭🇰. Let's look at key econ data:

a) Japan machine orders (private sector) contracted -5.5%YoY, slightly worse than estimate
b) Mostly due to manufacturing🙁
c) Westpac April confidence out in 30 mins
d) China credit/monetary March data 🔥🤑
China monetary data:

a) Aggregate financing data (total volume of funds provided by the financial system to the real eco) expectations are CNY1830bn for March after an already massive Jan+Feb injection;

b) If expectations are correct, then injection's 8% of GDP for just Q1 😬🔥
South Korea:

a) Raised rates in Nov' 2018 by 25bps when growth slowed;
b) Now having an extra budget likely to exceed KWR7trn

Btw, Korea has been turning on the fiscal tap since Moon came into office to support labor while raising COSTS of production for firms (min wage + tax)

And we all know that jobs are key, esp manu jobs for the low skilled as they need stable full-time employment & purpose.

US ISM manufacturing basically remained high above 50 (55.3 to be exact for March although lower than early 2018) & that is a big divergence b/n contracting Eurozone manufacturing PMI & China contracting PMI in Q1 (although by only a smudge)

2. The years when #Iran was under multilateral sanctions were boom years for China-Iran trade. China openly flouted US sanctions by purchasing historic volumes of Iranian oil while exporting a wide range of goods, winning marketshare as European traders pulled back.
3. At the heart of this trade was Bank of Kunlun, a subsidiary of state oil giant CNPC. Kunlun was the "bad bank" designated by the Chinese government to facilitate payments for trade with Iran. The bank thrived as it carried billions of dollars of trade on its ledgers.
