Just embarrassing. @maggieNYT describes Omar invoking repeated antisemitic tropes (and refusing to apologize and doubling down when she did it again) as simply “comments on Israel.

The comments weren’t about Israel. They were about supporters of Israel and “Jewish” colleagues.
Orange man bad so we have to excuse and normalize antisemitism among his opponents.

Journalism in 2019.
Also, Maggie’s article disgustingly suggests criticism of Omar is equivalent to attacking all Muslims.

What an outrageous smear of Muslims to suggest Omar’s antisemitism and anti-Americanism is representative of that whole community.

@redsteeze It's incredible how transparent they are being about the fact that they are angry they (and Dems) don't have full control of the narrative.

That's 100% what this is about.
The outrage doesn't even make sense. Most people won't really digest the headlines from tomorrow until tomorrow night, by which time those headlines will focus on the actual contents (or the various outlets' spin on those contents).

This is like justifying a debate between winning the lottery and shooting yourself in the foot because a lot of people who have won the lottery have ended up broke.
The combination of ignorance and ingratitude are very harmful to our society. Yes, the system that has created incredible wealth and opportunity isn't perfect, but that doesn't justify trying to replace it with a system that ensures misery and suffering.

The amount of spin and dishonest attacks against Barr tonight are really something. All from people who have no idea what he will say or what will be released tomorrow. Very revealing, especially with certain reporters insisting normal practices are somehow suspicious here.
They are attacking Barr’s character just because they don’t like the results, without any evidence he is doing anything out of bounds. It’s just a mirror of those on the right who attacked Mueller before they knew anything about what his investigation would find.
No, it is not suspicious that an AG releasing a major report would have an announcement press conference. No, he does not need to release it before the press conference (or even answer questions).

They are making up new rules as they go.

The student government at @swarthmore conflated #Zionism with #Nazism, harked on old #antisemitic tropes, used inflammatory rhetoric reminiscent of #IlhanOmar and #DavidDuke.
Instead of condemning this bigotry, @swarthmore student government encouraged it. They sent an email proudly stating that the meeting should be a “precedent” for future meetings, and “an example of what SGO should strive to be.”

Genocide. The Arab population has increased more than tenfold since 1947. A low intensity conflict with casualties on both sides. To call it Genocide is a vile insult to those like Armenia, Darfur, Cambodia, Rwanda and of course the Jews - people who faced real extermination.
Ethnic Cleansing. In just the last few years, millions of people have been displaced in real cases of ethnic cleansing. The Rohingya and Kurds are just two peoples whose suffering is belittled and sidelined by those who have a thirst for hating Jews.
