Deja Vu #JetAirways and #KingfisherAirles - From 4.29% of equity to 11.42% of Equity now with Retail Shareholders in #JetAirways!! A total of 1,37,524. ( less than 2 lakh share capital.)
The sad part is we had 2.3 lakh retail shareholders in Kingfisher but a company like Kotak Mahindra Bank has 2.23 lakh retail shareholders !!
A quick check we see a #Pidilite , #Bata , #Voltas and many known companies have lesser retail shareholders ( 2 lakh capital ) compared to a 1,37,524 of Jet Airways. Many smaller companies with longer track records have barely 5k-50k retail shareholders. Will this ever change?

#Sensex touches 39000 and you get up reading up on how it has given a CAGR of 16% for 40 years. I do believe Equity is the asset class which can beat Inflation but the 16% cagr and the data is erroneous on different levels.Read the next few tweets.
From this article by @Moneylifers - business-standard.com/article/opinio… 1) The Bombay Stock Exchange launched the Sensex in 1986. But it has calculated the Sensex data since April 1979 to provide a longer series, with a base index value of 100.
2) The Sensex value as on April 3, 1979, was 124.15 and not 100, owing to the fact that the value of the index divisor has been arrived at by taking the average market capitalisation of all the 30 stocks for 1978-79. But are these numbers accurate?

Becoming rich or wealthy is a "long thing" with its own set of rules that many people are not ready to play by.

This is about how to stop struggling financially.
If you struggle financially, it is because of any of the reasons below:

(1) You make a lot of money but you figure out a way to spend it all.

(2) You don't make any money at all

(3) You don't make enough money.
If reason No.1 is you, your problem is obvious. You simply need to learn how to keep more of what you are making and invest it to get the money to make you more.

I can't teach you that. People like @tosinolaseinde will help you out in that area.
