Trump viewed the sanctions the Obama administration imposed on Russia to retaliate for its election interference as an "attempt to embarrass him by delegitimizing his election."
One thing that drips from the pages of the Mueller report is that while the U.S. government largely focused on Russia's attempts to intercede in American politics, President Trump focused on himself.
